WE TREAT YOU LIKE FAMILY

At Concierge Carpal Tunnel and Hand Surgery our team works hard to provide a caring and comfortable atmosphere for all our patients. Understanding the added stress and anxiety our out-of-town patients may experience, our warm and welcoming team will go above and beyond to ease your stress and make you feel relaxed and ready for your procedure.

STEP 1: INITIAL CONSULTATION

The first step in your journey for relief of your carpal tunnel, trigger finger, or other condition starts with an initial consultation with our team.

OPTION 1: IN-PERSON CONSULTATION AND EXAM

For those already traveling to Las Vegas for other reasons and/or those who would prefer to meet with our team before making any decisions.

STEP 2: PATIENT COORDINATOR PHONE CALL

After your consultation with our team, if our surgeon determines you are a good candidate for our minimally invasive carpal tunnel release or one of our other procedures, you will be contacted by our Patient Coordinator. She will discuss procedure costs and other expenses as well as your travel, accommodations, and our Concierge Carpal Tunnel Vegas Experience Packages.

STEP 3: SCHEDULING

Once you have decided to proceed with our surgeon’s recommended procedure(s) for your condition, our scheduler will coordinate with you on the planning for your visit. She will go over potential dates that will work for your pre-procedure consultation and treatment and your desired travel plans.

If you are already coming to town for another reason (convention, wedding, etc.) and would like to arrange for your procedure to be performed during that trip, our scheduler will work with you to ensure we can accommodate that request.

STEP 4: INITIAL IN-OFFICE EVALUATION

In order to ensure all of our patients receive the highest quality care for their hands, the first in-office appointment with our team will include: an evaluation and physical exam by our surgeon, indicated diagnostic procedures (carpal tunnel ultrasound, hand/wrist x-rays, etc), pre and post-procedure instructions, and a review and signing of all necessary paperwork. While we can accomodate patients who would like their procedure the same day so they can travel home that evening, we encourage our out-of-town patients to stay and play – it’s Vegas Baby!

Most patients have their initial in-office evaluation on a Friday and their procedure on the following Monday or their initial in-office evaluation on a Tuesday with their procedure on Thursday. This scheduling is one of the cornerstones of our Concierge Carpal Tunnel Travel Program.  This timing ensures our out-of-town patients experience a thorough and unrushed diagnostic evaluation and exam and have the opportunity to have all their questions answered in a relaxed environment.

After your in-office evaluation is completed it’s time to enjoy the crème de la crème of Las Vegas experiences, with one of our Vegas Experience Packages!

STEP 6: PROCEDURE DAY

We understand that even a simple procedure under local anesthesia can be a stressful experience. That’s why we have worked hard to create a Carpal Tunnel Spa Experience for our patients.  It is our goal that you feel more like your going to a spa for a massage or treatment than having a hand procedure.

While Dr. Grabow is focused on curing your carpal tunnel or trigger finger our team is focused on you!

Our Procedure Suite is a sanctuary of sights and sounds, specifically utilized to ensure your comfort and relaxation during your procedure.  Our patients are able to enjoy a surround sound experience of their favorite music or they can lose themselves with an intriguing documentary, stand up comedy, or other engaging video on our large screen hi-def television from our multiple streaming services.  For our more curious patients, we can instead provide a live view of their procedure from the surgeon’s point-of-view using Dr. Grabow’s  SWIS Surgical Video teaching system.

While each procedure is unique, most procedures typically last approximately 30 minutes.  A small hand wrap bandage is applied after your procedure.

STEP 7: RECOVERY

Aftercare is easy! Because all our procedures are minimally invasive, our travel program patients have no sutures to remove and only have small incisions that can be covered with a small adhesive bandage strip once they remove their initial procedure wrap 4 days after their procedure.

While we have not found it necessary for our out-of-town patients to be seen the day after their procedure before they leave town, patients who desire to be seen the next day before they leave can easily be accommodated.

Patients are provided an on-demand chemical ice pack and a personal care kit with gloves and bandage supplies to ensure their travels home are comfortable and as stress free as possible.

Since all our procedures are minimally invasive, most patients only need Actaminophen (Tylenol) and/or Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Midol) or Naproxen (Aleve, Naprosyn) for their discomfort.

Patients are allowed to use their hands the day after the procedure and their only limit is based on their level of comfort.  Most patients return to normal hand use in one to two weeks after their procedure.

STEP 8: VIRTUAL FOLLOW UP

We schedule a Post-Procedure Virtual Follow-up Evaluation with our out-of-town patients to ensure their recovery is progressing as expected and to answer any questions they may have.
